Illuminate the Sky has a fast-paced percussion track but the vocals stay relaxed and uncomplicated. Axel's beaten, gruff tones welcome you further into his art. This track invokes visions of soaring with ease and good feelings. All the instruments are well-placed and meld together flawlessly.
Waterfall's finger-picked guitar pattern is more complex and lends itself to a 'live' feeling that is natural and soothing. This song has a progressive groove that slowly builds into an emotional climax, still easy yet vibrant.
Second Place has an Americana feel with a bluesy flow and more drawn-out vocals. Axel's crispy lines relate on a very human level. He conveys thoughts that cross generations of experience, life and love.
