The Axel Vault was built by RockStarAlley to house the music of Krister Axel. Krister Axel has been a songwriter and a software engineer for almost 10 years.
In 2007, working as a contractor for MonsterTrak.com, he started learning about Ruby on Rails and other open-source development platforms and became hooked. The power of Drupal had evolved to the point where his dream could come true - to warehouse and catalog his entire legacy of recordings in order to showcase them for commercial opportunities and make them available under an open non-commercial license for documentary filmmakers, teachers, and students via the internet.
As a prolific songwriter since a very early age, this was the development project of a lifetime: open source content management and audio streaming for the musician/composer. RockStarAlley is the software development and business arm of Krister Axel (aka 'Kristerco') and as such, has done business with such esteemed clients as Nissan, Washington Mutual, Nationwide, Access IT and Monster.com.
